3. Developing independence and physical skills for 2 year old
Your aim is to help 2 year old Amina gain independence and develop fine motor skills. Plan a creative activity that promote these areas of

4. Meeting cultural needs of a 5 year old
Five year old Jing has recently arrived from China. Jing speaks little Mandarin, but no English.
Plan a play opportunity to promote English vocabulary, whilst allowing Jing to speak in her own language.
- Consider Jing's interest
- Consider how respect and value for Jing's culture can be incorported in the planning
- Consider the resources you would use to promote Jing's communication skills
- Consider how you would communicate with Jing or what interventions could be used to communicate
- Apply the equal opportunity, diversity and inclusivity policy when planning

5. Outdoor play for 4 year old
Plan an activity for 4 year old Ali who is very energetic and friendly. He enjoys playing outdoors
- Consider the outdooor resources your setting has
- Consider the toys and equipment you can make available for Ali to enjoy and nurture his developmental skills
- Identify the areas of developmental that Ali will gain through the activity
